Gambling Corner 7/29

We are back!!!! 3-0 night last night if you took the parlay. I should have rolled with my Buccos last night. I lost some faith in them after the heart breaking loss on Monday. I have a couple more picks for tonight. Unfortunately, they’re favorites. Once the NBA and NHL get rolling the end of this week, I’ll have some underdog picks to help you win some more money.

Pirates/Brewers Under 8.5
Mets -194
Nationals -160

The last two are very basic plays for me. When an ace is on the mound, I have to bet them. For the Mets, the offense has looked good compared to prior years. They should be able to give him enough run support to get a W. As long as he can get into the 7th inning because everyone is on the edge of their seat once the bullpen comes in. The other ace play is Scherzer. He struck out 11 on opening day but gave up 4 runs and couldn’t out-duel Gerrit Cole. The Nationals lineup scored 9 runs in their only win but haven’t got more than 2 in the other 4 games. I expect them to break out here and get out of their slump going against Pearson who is making his major league debut. Don’t get me wrong, Pearson is going to be a stud. Just not tonight.

The Pirates/Brewers play is just a hunch from watching the games the past few nights. Both games went over 8.5 but for the most part, the offenses haven’t looked good. Woodruff has looked good against the Pirates in the small sample size that he has and I think Musgrove pitches a nice game after making a few mistakes in his last outing against the Cardinals.
