Week 8 should be an exciting weekend of football with 6 divisional matchups (7 if you count last night’s Thursday night game). We’re gonna dive into a few of those here and some of our other favorite games of the week.

Steelers at Ravens
Gametime: Sunday 1:00 pm
Spread: Ravens -4
Total: O/U 46.5

What to Know: Most likely the game of the week pits the Steelers against the Ravens for the first time this season. The Steelers enter the contest at 6-0 while the Ravens enter 5-1 with their sole loss coming at the hands of the Chiefs. The deciding factor in this game is going to be how the Steelers front 7 try to contain Lamar Jackson. The Steelers 46% of the time this season. Will that help get pressure on Jackson or will he be able to avoid that pressure and get into open space for some big gains?

The Steelers are ranked 2nd in the league in Rushing Yards Allowed/Game. However 4 of the 6 teams they’ve played rank 27th, 16th, 31st, 15th in Rushing Yards/Game. The Browns and the Titans rank in the top 5. The Steelers managed to bottle them up for the most part so how will they fair against the top rushing team in the league

Gambling Tip: The Steelers are the 7th team in the Super Bowl era to get more than 3 points as an underdog with a 6-0 record or better. Each of the last 6 teams lost outright and are 2-4 against the spread.

Prediction: Steelers 20 Ravens 17

49ers at Seahawks
Gametime: Sunday 4:25 pm
Spread: Seahawks -3
Total: O/U 53.5

What to Know: What a crazy game we saw Sunday between the Seahawks and Cardinals. It gave us just about everything we could ask for ending in a crazy overtime win for the Cardinals 37-34. The Seahawks continue to play close game after close game with 5 of their 6 games ending within one possession. The 49ers dominated the Patriots last week with a convincing 33-6 win. They continue to do a good job running the football. It is a plug and place mentality with Jeff Wilson Jr. going for 112 yards with 3 touchdowns. I think this one could turn into a track meet, much like last week was for the Seahawks. Seattle is averaging the most points in the league. The 49ers are top 5 in Points Allowed/Game. Will they be able to come up with a good gameplan to slow down Russell Wilson?

Gambling Tip: Seattle is 13-4 against the spread against San Francisco since 2012.

Prediction: Seahawks 38, 49ers 27

Saints at Bears
Gametime: Sunday 4:25 pm
Spread: Saints -5
Total: O/U 43.5

What to Know: The Bears could not get anything going in Monday’s game against the Rams. Hopes were high when the team decided to make the change to Nick Foles earlier in the season. But the same struggles at QB continued as it has for many years for the Bears. You may look at this one and think the Saints should win this one as its two teams going in different directions but I’m not so sure. This is just the defense the doctor ordered for Nick Foles. I think the defense will do enough to disturb Drew Brees and cause an upset.

Gambling Tip: Matt Nagy is 8-4 following a loss since he became the Bear’s head coach and is 5-0 on short weeks.

Prediction: Bears 27 Saint 24
