Week 11 NFL Preview

I think we can all agree that we should put the best games on Thursday night. Starting off the week with a divisional matchup between the Cardinals and Seahawks picks my spirits up after a long week and gets me ready for the weekend. This week, we have four matchups between teams above .500. The Steelers also try to remain undefeated as they take on the Jaguars. With all four teams of the NFC East within one game of each other, will the Eagles be able to jump into the lead or will the Redskins and Cowboys be able to make up some ground? Let’s jump in to the big games of the week.

Falcons at Saints
Gametime: Sunday 1:00 pm
Spread: Saints -4
Total: O/U 51.5

What to Know: The Falcons are winners of 3 of their last 4 as they head into New Orleans to take on the Saints. With Drew Brees going down with an injury, they will turn to Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill working in tandem. The Falcons defense is one of the better options if you’re making you’re first start of the year. The Falcons defense allows the third most yards per game in the league. They have figured some things out though as they haven’t allowed 30 points since week 4. The offense is still extremely high powered, even adding Calvin Ridley back this week after an ankle injury. I don’t think Jameis will be able to provide enough of a spark to keep up with the Falcons.

Gambling Tip: The Falcons are 7-1 against the spread in their last 8 road games.

Prediction: Falcons 34 Saints 24

Packers at Colts
Gametime: Sunday 4:25 pm
Spread: Colts -2
Total: O/U 51.5

What to Know: This one will be exciting. How will Aaron Rodgers fair against the Colts #1 defense. Rodgers learned earlier this season what it is like to face a top 3 defense earlier this year when taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In that game, the Packers were held to 200 yards of offense, Rodgers was sacked 5 times, had 2 turnovers, and only scored 10 points. I think he watched a lot of that film this week to see what they can do differently in this game. On the other side, the Colts have one of the top rushing offenses in the league behind an incredible offensive line. The Packers are gonna have a tough time stopping it so expect this one to be back and forth. The over could hit early in this one.

Gambling Tip: Under Matt LaFleur, the Packers are 5-1 outright and against the spread as road underdogs

Prediction: Packers 31 Colts 28

Chiefs at Raiders
Gametime: Sunday 8:20 pm
Spread: Chiefs -8
Total: O/U 56.5

What to Know: I was really looking forward to this one as I’ve jumped on the bandwagon for the Raiders over the last few weeks. They beat the Chiefs earlier this year but 10 defensive players have found their way to the COVID list. The Chiefs are not the team you want to face with a depleted secondary. Patrick Mahomes and Derek Carr rank first and second in QBR against the blitz this season. Carr will have to handle the blitz once again as the Chiefs blitz on 34% of their defensive plays.

Gambling Tip: The Raiders are 5-0 against the spread in each of their last 5 games against divisional opponents.

Prediction: Raiders 24 Chiefs 34
