Where Did WVU Fall in the Latest Top 25 Poll?

The West Virginia Mountaineers expected to fall today after being upset in Norman on Saturday 75-71. The team also beat Northeastern 73-51 to limit it to a one loss week. The team sits at 8-3 and 1-2 in the conference. The AP released their poll this afternoon and the Mountaineers dropped five spots from #9 to #14. The coaches had previously put West Virginia slightly above the AP at #8 but dropped eight spots to #16 after a poor performance.

The Mountaineers get a chance to rebound quickly taking on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-2, 1-2 in conference) tonight at 9:00. Check out ESPN2 for full coverage of that one and we’ll be back tomorrow with the player grades and analysis.
