I keep saying that I’m going to be more consistant with these and it is always the first thing to fall off. With basketball season going strong and hockey right around the corner, I should be able to put out at least one of my favorite bets each night. Follow along on my personal twitter account @jteezy4 and our twitter account @sportshiftmedia just in case I don’t have time to get a blog out with the picks.
Tonight we have a full slate of college basketball and NBA and I have three plays. I almost added a fourth but my bias towards the Phoenix Suns held me back. I like them beating the Raptors tonight but do your research and make your own decision. I didn’t want to lead you astray. But with that, let’s get to the picks.
Pacers -2.5 vs Rockets
The Pacers surprised a lot of people last year and I Vegas has started out this year with some pessimism thinking they would come back down to earth. They are 5-2 so far this season and are 5-2 against the spread. Houston is kind of a mess right now with all the Harden stuff and on top of it, they’re giving up too many points. With the Pacers sitting at third in the league in shooting percentage, I see the Pacers running away with this one led by the backcourt of Brogdon and Oladipo.
Minnesota +7.5 at Michigan
Big Ten Network
It seems like there is going to be a ranked matchup every night for the next few months in the Big 10. Tonight is two unlikely teams as Minnesota travels to Ann Arbor. Minnesota has been impressive, especially in their defeat of top five Iowa a few weeks ago. They also have wins over ranked Michigan State and Ohio State. I don’t know if they win the game but I think Marcus Carr and Liam Robbins can score enough points to keep this one close.
Seton Hall +5.5 at Creighton
Both teams have a little bit of a winning streak going at three and four games, respectively. Seton Hall started out the season 1-3, but are 7-1 since. They are 3-0 in road games during that streak so that helps them out playing in CHI Health Center. Creighton loves playing small ball and getting up and down the floor. But I think Seton Hall can slow them down a little bit, Sandro Mamukelashvili can take over this game. He is coming off a 24 point, 9 rebound, 6 assist game in the win over Butler. If you want to sprinkle a little bit on the moneyline I wouldn’t fault you, but I’ll take them to cover in a close one.
