Gambling Corner – January 10, 2021

Jake went 3-2 with his picks yesterday while Hank went 2-0. I read his text wrong and included the Titans game which everyone knows is today. Basketball saved me as I almost went 0-3 in the football games. Luckily, I got 51.5 early and squeezed out the under. Let’s get into today’s games.

Jake’s Picks

Ravens -3.5 vs Titans

ESPN

The Ravens are coming into this one winners of five straight. They haven’t gone up against the stiffest of competition but there were some defenses that are a lot better than this Titans defense. I think Lamar Jackson and this offense run circles around them and the Ravens defense does just enough to slow down Derrick Henry to get the win. He has dominated them in the last two games so they have a chip on their shoulder to figure it out.

Bears +10 vs Saints
4:40 PM
CBS

This is just a case of way too many points for a playoff game. The Bears were able to sneak into the playoffs but I haven’t seen anything from the Saints that impresses me enough to be a double digit favorite. Drew Brees is still the older quarterback that is struggling to throw it downfield and this is a good Bears defense. Additionally, since Mitch was re-entered as the quarterback, this team is averaging just over 30 points per game.

Browns/Steelers over 46.5
8:15 PM
NBC

You may have to move the total a little bit depending on what Sportsbook you’re using. I was able to get it at 46.5. I think the Steelers can at least get to 30 in this one. Ben is coming off of a week of rest, feeling good, and he dominates the Browns in Pittsburgh. I still think Baker and the Browns are able to keep up a little bit and at least get to the 17 I need for the over.

Hank’s Picks

We have another battle on our hands in the first game of the day. Hank easily took last night as the Rams took it to the Seahawks so hopefully I can bounce back today with a Ravens win and cover.

Titans +3
Bears +10
Browns +6
